Once upon a time, Brad Pitt rocked a beaded beard and now, Elle Fanning totally cosplayed as that 2009 version of the famous actor and it’s hilarious! The young actress did such a great job that it’s actually difficult to even tell who is who after the transformation!
Elle went all out, putting together a similar outfit, accessories and fake beard!
The 22 year old shared a pic of her new look that was in fact a behind the scenes look from Hulu’s The Great Star series on The Tonight Show.
Elle made it very clear that as far as she is concerned, playing dress up is great when you’re bored in quarantine!
Besides, she did so well that she might be able to have a second career as a Brad Pitt doppelganger!
As part of the competition with her co-workers, Elle channeled 2009 Brad Pitt, the look being complete with that oversized beanie, sunglasses and, of course, a beaded goatee!
During her chat with Jimmy Fallon, she shared the side by side comparison with the original and it’s safe to say that the host, as well as everyone else, was impressed!

‘That’s me. [And] that’s Brad Pitt in his ‘beard bead’ phase when he wore beard beads. Basically, we’d do this on set, it was called the Doppelgänger Challenge. The set of The Crown did it, as well. Our makeup designer did The Crown, so we were in competition with them and we totally won. We went all out, the cast,’ she explained.
The Hollywood star also revealed that she and the other The Great stars have a group chat where they show off their DIY costumes and also plan their next looks together.
